Ahmet Coker, MD, is holding the position of Professor of Surgery in Turkey.
After receiving his medical degree from the University of Ege (honour list), Izmir Turkey, Professor Coker completed postgraduate training in Izmir, London, UK; and Worcester USA.
Professor Coker is currently a member at large of the EAHPB Association and the previous president of Turkish HPB Association. He is also on the Membership Committee of European and African Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (E-AHPBA). In addition, Professor Coker still is, member of a number of scientific journals including the journal HPB, and Turkish HPB Surgery.
Professor Coker is the editor of 6 books in the field of HPB surgery and has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, with about 11000 citations and h-index of 26.
His main clinical interests include surgery of the pancreas and liver, nutrition, and surgical oncology.
